Shut up, I thought, but it was my wig. I fell asleep in the cafeteria today. Dreamed of eating an ice cream sandwich. I’m not watching my figure but I won’t touch one. I dread school except for chemistry. I have a keen interest in balancing equations and oxidation. I love the way you can never change the formula in process like the boy in row two who can’t move to the next step until he triple counts each preceding step. Both frustrate me, one more than the other. It’s not me but I think he likes me, poor thing, one two three.
Squinny, my best friend since second grade whose red hair and freckles on the left side of her face remind me of strawberries, saved my life today. I owe her a pumpernickel bagel and lox.
I let it burn to smithereens.
